Trump gave a speech late on Election Night in which he declares victory in the 2020 Election. This possibility has been hyped up as an attempt to steal the election by the President.
Unfortunately, we were completely accurate in our prediction that vote counts will be delayed specifically in key states that allow ballot intake after election day.
Currently, Trump is holding the lead in many key states that the media has not called. Many of these states such as Pennsylvania have stopped updating their count numbers as well.
At the time of this writing, the total electoral count is Trump 213 Biden 225
Looking at the remaining states, Trump is leading in
Georgia Trump 50.66% to Biden 48.13% with 93% of the vote counted. 16 votes
North Carolina – Trump 50.09% to Biden 48.69% with 94% of the vote counted. 15 votes
Wisconsin – Trump 51.26% to Biden 47.22% with 92% of the vote counted. 10 votes
Michigan – Trump 53.27% to Biden 45.13% with 72% of the vote counted. 16 votes
And that brings us to 270, with Alaska inevitably contributing 3 additional votes. In other words, as it stands right now, there is a statistical improbability for Joe Biden to win this election. I left Pennsylvania out of this equation, because they are announcing that it could be after Friday before their results are fully counted. Even without their 20 electoral votes, Trump is still poised to win this election, and current counts have Trump ahead by a whopping 13% before the counting stopped.
The fact that Trump declares an essential victory should be common place with an election this close to the end and the numbers clearly pointing in his favor. For Biden to speak, but focus on how delayed the election will be rather than conceding was shameful.
However, it is also concerning that Trump commented on taking this election to the Supreme Court. This is another move that the media has hyped up as a possibility.
Trump said that they did not want officials finding more ballots, despite having multiple courts rule that mail in ballots delivered after the election would be counted.
As far as the ramifications of this possibility is concerned, it could set the stage for another impeachment attempt prior to Jan 20. Watch for Nancy Pelosi to comment on this in the morning hours.
