Trump Caravan

Texas State Rep. Sheryl Cole is circulating false information on Twitter that a Trump Caravan intentionally rammed a Biden campaign volunteer vehicle.  The problem is, that isn’t what happened – and it’s on video.

In the same thread, Rep. Cole shared a tweet claiming to show damage caused by the Trump supporters.

As you can see, the only “damage” evidence is coming from the side of a white SUV that has massive dents and scratches covering the entire driver side of the vehicle.

The problem comes into play when you see the full video of the incident.  The person capturing the video cuts in right after the collision starts, but you can still clearly see that that the white SUV was halfway into the lane that belonged to the truck with the Trump flags waving on it.

The truck was in the far right lane, and pushed the SUV with California plates back into the lane it belonged in.  There is no way that the truck could have initiated this collision.

See for yourself.

Texas has been a red state since 1976, and has had a pretty electrified Trump base despite claims that Texas might turn blue this election.

The culture here includes a normal open carry of firearms at protests and demonstrations, as well as a proud counter protest culture on both sides of the political spectrum.  Whether the Biden/Harris tour was intending to cause conflict, or sincerely believe they can turn the state blue we do not know.  But in the end, they are once again trying to blame Trump supporters, and in this case a Trump caravan, for their own actions.
