A video has been published by Zero Hedge in which then-candidate Donald Trump repeatedly labeled Epstein Island as a “cesspool” in 2015.
The importance of this is because many have tried to make the connection between Trump and Epstein. While the entire Epstein case may be new to the average person, it has been well known information for others for years. His first charges were brought in 2008, and ended in a disturbing plea deal with Alex Acosta.
The Netflix docuseries titled Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich portrayed a difficult-to-watch look at the cases and Epstein Island, but made no effort to hide their political slant attempting to tie Donald Trump to the case while glossing over the evidence that put former President Clinton in a questionable situation.
A famous quote from Trump in 2002, as well as pictures from public events, are what has been touted as evidence of the Trump-Epstein connection. Trump told NY Magazine:
“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump booms from a speakerphone. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
However, it appears that Trump distanced himself from Epstein at the start of his legal troubles. In fact, the trail seems to stop right around 2005, which is when the FBI began their investigation into Epstein for the first time.
Even an exposé from VOX who explored the relationships between Epstein and Trump turned up nothing beyond the early 2000’s.
This lends credibility to those who denounce any wrongdoing by the current President. Comments from Trump have been unfavorable towards Epstein, and he appears to have distanced himself from when he presumably learned of his gross sexual misconduct.
