Gingrich mentioned Soros

Newt Gingrich mentioned George Soros on a Fox News panel.  The response was an almost cult-like interruption by two of the guests, simply stating, “We don’t need to talk about Soros.”

Gingrich, while discussing damage caused by riots that have spread across the nation, put fault on actions taken by District Attorneys.  These are progressive DA’s he attested were funded by George Soros.

It was at this point that the other pannelists decided to cut in, insisting that the topic of George Soros did not need to be addressed.  Gingrich referred to Soros as having must be “forebode information,” and a long and uncomfortable silence ensued.

The Facts

Despite the cult-like refusal to address the real factor that is George Soros, there rings a lot of truth to what Gingrich was saying. The Mercury News reports:

“There’s definitely a change at work,” said Robert Weisberg, co-director of the Stanford Criminal Justice Center. “The mere fact that there’s any kind of legitimate person running suddenly gets people to think: ‘For the first time, I actually get to vote for the DA.’ ”

The new political strategy in California is backed by the California Justice & Public Safety PAC, which is funded by Soros; Real Justice, a political action committee that includes the wife of Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz; and civil rights leader and writer Shaun King, who has offered endorsements and speeches.

Just the News uploaded a PDF from the Missouri Ethics Commission that shows the Missouri Justice & Public Safety PAC funded the campaign for Circuit Attorney Kim Garder.  The donations from the pack include $116,000 from George Soros.

Kim Gardner is the same Circuit Attorney who charged the controversial couple who attempted to defend their home from Black Lives Matter protesters who entered the private gated community.  She’s also the same Circuit Attorney, however, who released 36 people arrested during riots in St. Louis.

George Soros is also currently funding candidate Joe Garza in Texas, through the Texas Justice & Public Safety PAC.

Anti-Trump campaign ads have had close to a million dollars pumped into them from the Illinois Justice & Public Safety PAC

Are you noticing a pattern yet?

While the spending disclosure only has to indicate the candidate the ads are about, it is clear that this type of spending by Soros is not in favor of the Trump Administration.

The direct influence and intention of George Soros in US elections is no secret.  It is no conspiracy.  No one has even tried to hide it.  So why is Fox News trying so hard to shut down that narrative?  Why the awkward silence following shutting down Gingrich once he mentioned Soros?
